I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
